After 9 months of appointment, a few days ago Ermal Onuzi resigned from his position as commander of the Republican Guard.

Meanwhile, journalist Artan Hoxha told MCN that the decision came after the clash that Onuzi had with the chief of Prime Minister Edi Rama's escort.

Hoxha said that the head of the government's escort group knows all the prime minister's movements and has not moved from his post since Edi Rama was in opposition.

"The head of the Guard who resigned was young. The Guard is constantly attacked by the opposition when there are strong protests. Why was the resignation given? It turns out that there was a clash between the former head of the Guard and the head of the prime minister's escort group, who has been stationary since the time the prime minister was in opposition. 

The position he holds is strong, he is a trusted man of the prime minister, who knows everything about the prime minister, knows his routine and movements. How the clash happened, we still do not know clearly, but it is a credible motive why the resignation may have come. The head of the prime minister's escort is immobile. He may have perceived the dangers of the prime minister. 

He maintains contacts with other Albanian services, such as SHISH. We have a problem with the Guard of the Republic.
