I emphasized that democratic values ​​and principles are the foundation of Albania's European path. Undermining political pluralism through electoral farces constitutes not only a violation of democratic standards, but a betrayal of the Albanians' aspiration for integration into the European Union.

"The conversation with the esteemed MPs once again confirmed the attention and importance that our German partners pay to the functioning of democracy and the rule of law in countries aiming for EU membership ," Balliu writes.
