The Democratic Party candidate for the Durrës district, Aulon Kalaja, has spoken about his battle for vote transparency.

Kalaja spoke on A2 CNN and confessed that he had seen a video where it was clearly seen that the DP's votes had passed in favor of the majority.

"The whole battle is not about my mandate, but about a precedent that has to do with the legitimacy that candidates have to request a recount. No one is harmed by transparency. This is a battle for dignity. I asked for the vote, they told me they would give it, but will you be able to defend the vote? I want to become an MP, but I don't know if I will. Transparency is more important than a mandate as an MP. I think my legitimacy opens a new chapter for all candidates.
