Bardhi: The EU delegation said that crime controlled the elections in Elbasan!

The head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, stated today in the Assembly that it is not the opposition that has claimed that the elections were hijacked by organized crime, but rather representatives of international institutions themselves.

According to Bardhi, it was the head of the European Parliament delegation for the May 11 elections who declared that in the Elbasan region, organized crime had directly influenced the electoral process, a concern that was also reflected by OSCE/ODIHR observers.

" The opposition did not say that the elections were hijacked by organized crime, the head of the EP delegation said it. He, together with OSCE/ODIHR observers, reported on the hijacking of the elections by crime in the Elbasan region. These are truths that you can no longer hide, no matter how hard you try, " Bardhi said from the Parliament's rostrum.

He called on the majority to stop attempts to relativize serious international reporting and to reflect on the alarming situation of the impact of crime on democratic processes such as elections.
