A red alert has been sounded in Europe and now the danger has reached Albania. A frozen soup produced in Italy and widely consumed has been ordered to be removed from the market as it poses a serious risk to the health of consumers.

According to information from the AKU, the product in question is frozen vegetables, MINESTRONE 16 Vegetables, weighing 750 grams, with lot number L03DK and expiration date June 30, 2028.

A consumer alerted the authorities when he found a foreign and dangerous body inside the packaging. This was enough for the European Rapid Alert System (RASFF) to immediately raise the maximum alert: This product poses a serious health risk.

In Albania, the product was imported on May 14, 2026 by the entity “PRONATYRA TREG”. The AKU has provided us with a photo of the product, and according to official sources, the entire quantity was distributed and sold at two points in Tirana:

• “PRONATYRA MARKET” Dibra Street
• “PRONATYRA MARKET” “Delijorgji” Complex

When the notification arrived for the withdrawal from the market of the product that endangers the lives of consumers, it turned out that the entire imported quantity had been sold.

If citizens have purchased this product with lot number L03DK and still have it in the refrigerator, it is recommended that they do not consume it, but immediately return it to the store where they purchased it.
