"Rama is gone", protesters gather again in Tirana after 52 days of

Albanian citizens return to the square today for the 52nd protest, continuing their demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and profound political changes in the country.

The protesters initially gathered at "Skënderbej" Square, from where they then marched towards the Prime Minister's Office, where the next speeches are expected to be held.

The protest was attended by students, professionals, activists, family members, the elderly, but also other citizens expressing dissatisfaction with the current government.

During the recent march, protesters repeated some of their slogans against Prime Minister Rama and the government, while demanding the fulfillment of the five main points of their platform.

The protesters' demands include:

the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the government;
the creation of a transitional technical government with a 12-month mandate;
constitutional amendments and reform of the electoral system;
the annulment of changes to the laws on protected areas, cultural heritage, the Mountain Package and strategic investments;
the drafting of a new social contract between citizens and the state, through consultation with experts and representatives of civil society.
