A serious incident was recorded this Tuesday morning in Korça, where a 66-year-old man was found dead inside a vehicle engulfed in flames.

According to the police, it was reported that a "Benz" type vehicle was engulfed in fire in neighborhood no. 10 of the city. During the intervention, the authorities found that in the front passenger seat was citizen Irakli Çinoku, about 66 years old, without any signs of life.

Based on preliminary information, it is suspected that the 66-year-old may have set the vehicle on fire himself, but the circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.

"Around 08:40, in neighborhood no. 10, Korça, a "Benz" type vehicle was engulfed in flames.

Police and fire services immediately went to the scene, where they found that inside the vehicle, in the front passenger seat, was citizen Irakli Çinoku, about 66 years old, with no signs of life.

Based on the actions and preliminary information, it is suspected that the citizen may have self-immolated inside the vehicle.

"The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is at the scene and continues to work to fully clarify the circumstances and cause of the incident," the police announced.
