52-year-old arrested in Tirana, caught with grenades and TNT ready to explode

A 52-year-old man with a criminal record in the field of narcotics has been arrested by Tirana Police during an operation codenamed "Order", while transporting a significant amount of explosives and combat ammunition.

During the search, officers seized hand grenades, TNT prepared for explosion, igniters and detonator caps, while investigations are ongoing to clarify the destination and purpose of this quantity of explosives.

As a result of the information obtained in the operational route, the services of the Special Force "Eagle", in cooperation with the Special Operational Force Sector and the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Trafficking, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Order". 
During the operation, on the "Kastriotët" street, citizen Petrit Çeça, 52 years old, resident of Fushë-Krujë, with a previous criminal record in the field of narcotics, was arrested and handcuffed.

During the search of the bag he was carrying, the Police services found and seized, as material evidence, 2 combat hand grenades, 2 unifying detonators, 600 grams of explosives (tritol), part of which was equipped with 2 fuses and 2 detonator capsules ready to explode, as well as 6 detonator capsules.

 
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
