The water utility left the residents of Vora without water in the heat: We pay the bills, but we are supplied by autobots

They denounced on the show  Fiks Fare  that, although they regularly pay their water bills, they have been forced to buy water by tanker truck to meet their daily needs.

Residents say that the problem is recurring and that they have been supplied with limited hours for years. According to them, even when water does come, its quality leaves much to be desired, while this time the taps have remained dry for more than two weeks.

"We have been without water for over two weeks. Even before, water only came once every two days. We pay the bills, but now we are buying water by truck, which costs us about 30 thousand lek," the residents say.

They say they have repeatedly raised their concerns with institutions, but have not received a clear deadline for resolving the problem. According to them, while families remain without water, businesses in the area do not face the same situation.

After the complaint,  Fiks Fare  approached the water supply manager in the Municipality of Vora. He admitted that the supply interruption was caused by a defect in a depreciated network, which affected four villages.

According to him, in addition to repairing the defect, optimization of the network is also being carried out, with the aim of improving water supply throughout the area.

"We are aware of the situation and are working to resolve it. With the intervention we are making, not only will the defect be repaired, but the supply schedule will also be improved. Starting tomorrow, these villages will have water every day," declared the head of the water supply company.

Immediately after Fiks Fare 's interest and insistence   with the responsible institutions, water supply was restored to the village of Gjokaj and the affected areas.

Residents thanked the show for its intervention, saying that after weeks without water, the taps were finally supplied again.
