African heat wave ends, temperatures drop significantly from Wednesday

The African heat wave that has engulfed Albania is expected to end today, while the following days bring lower temperatures and more unstable weather.

Meteorologist Lajda Porja, in a live broadcast for Euronews Albania, announced that this Monday will be the last day with extreme temperatures, with temperatures of up to 39-40 degrees Celsius expected in many cities.

According to her, a gradual decrease in temperatures will begin on Tuesday, but the weather will still remain hot. Meanwhile, the most significant change is expected to come from Wednesday, when the country will be engulfed by cooler air masses.

Maximum temperatures are expected to drop to around 34-35 degrees on Wednesday, while over the weekend the thermometer is not expected to exceed 30-31 degrees in most of the territory.

In terms of precipitation, today will remain mostly stable with clear skies and some cloudiness. Isolated precipitation may appear on Tuesday evening, mainly in the northern areas of the country.

After days of scorching temperatures, Albania is expected to experience a week of cooler and more unstable weather.
