Independent MP Marjana Koçeku has indicated that the civic protest was the decisive factor that convinced her to leave the Socialist Party and publicly support the movement that has been demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama for 52 days.

Invited to News24, the Shkodra MP, also known as "Neomalesorja", said that the decision was not immediate, but the result of a long process of reflection, while the protest served as the final impetus.

" The protest motivated me a lot for this decision, as something inspiring, coming from my generation, the new generation that I belong to. There was a history of events that have happened for 10 months that have pushed me towards the idea that I do not belong to this party group. I have also raised them as issues. I have spoken about these issues in meetings, in the locality, or in the central meeting. I spoke about the issue of Drini, where I grew up. I did not get the answer I wanted.

The environment has not been given due attention. So we need to be aware. In the group meetings I have spoken about issues such as the Cadastre and its law. I come from the Shkodra Highlands, and I know the problems of the Albanians. There must be legal clarification, as there is legal overlap in such a way that the residents take their properties.

 Before entering politics, I had an agritourism business with my family, which became known in the international media. Then I became part of Rama's podcast. There I explained my vision and the problems.

The two main motivations that led me to enter were entrepreneurship and the development of the area along the trajectory I had created. When this moment came, since the opportunities were limited, I accepted. This motivated me to take on this public commitment and come to the aid of my residents. ", she said.
