After three years in Tirana, Silvio Gonzato closes his mission in Albania

The European Union Ambassador to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, will officially end his diplomatic mandate at the end of August, bringing to an end a three-year mission in the country.

The decoration ceremony took place during July, as most of the EU Delegation staff is outside Albania during August.

In his farewell message, Gonzato expressed his gratitude for the hospitality he received during his stay in Albania and emphasized that the country will always hold a special place in his life.

At the end of the message, the ambassador conveyed a special greeting to Albanian citizens:

“ This country will remain in my heart for the rest of my life. See you in the European Union! ”
