The Special Prosecution Office has closed the investigations into one of the factions of the "Metamorphosis" case, bringing the criminal proceedings against nine people accused of involvement in organized crime activities to the trial stage.

Among the individuals for whom the investigation has been completed are Ervis Martinaj, Denis Bajri, Klaodor Hakaj, Prekë Kodra, Aleks Ndreka, Bardhyl Mavraj, Eljon Hato, Arsad Bashli and Nuredin Dumani. Some of them are still wanted, as the security measures imposed on them have not yet been executed.

The investigation is led by prosecutors Arben Kraja and Bledar Maksuti, who have completed the preliminary phase of the proceedings and have filed the file with the Special Court.

Nuredin Dumani, who is part of this proceeding, is currently in prison and holds the status of a collaborator of justice. He is also facing another court process within the framework of the mega-operation "Golden Bullet".

According to SPAK, the defendants are accused of a number of serious criminal offenses, including premeditated murder within a structured criminal group, participation in a structured criminal group, committing criminal offenses within a criminal organization, providing conditions for committing murders, as well as the unauthorized production and possession of weapons, explosives and ammunition.

After the documents are filed with the GJKKO, a draw is expected to be made to assign the preliminary hearing judge, who will decide whether the file will proceed to review on the merits.
