DP concludes structural elections, Adriana Kalaja takes over as head of Appeals

The Democratic Party has concluded the process of reorganizing its leadership structures, confirming the names that will hold key functions in the party's bodies and will be part of the leadership team of President Sali Berisha.

As part of this process, after the constitution of the Appeals Commission with five members by the National Council, the first meeting of this body was held.

By unanimous vote, Adriana Kalaja has been re-elected as head of the Statute Appeal and Evaluation Commission, otherwise known as the "Democratic Party Court", a function she has held previously.

Over the past few months, Kalaja has been one of the most active voices of the opposition, filing reports and denunciations with SPAK, including on issues related to former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, the "Bankers" file, and the permit for a photovoltaic park.
