Luka Modrić has no intention of ending his career just yet.

The Croatian midfielder has reached an agreement with Milan to extend his cooperation for another season, linking his future with the Italian club until June 2027.

According to MilanNews and the journalist specializing in the transfer market, Fabrizio Romano, the agreement between the parties has been closed and only the official signing remains, which is expected to be completed within the week.

Although he had hinted before the 2026 World Cup that he might retire from playing football, the Croatian has decided to continue his career at the highest level. Modrić, who will soon turn 41, will continue to lead the Rossoneri midfield for another season.

The new contract provides for a salary of 3.5 million euros per season, as well as bonuses linked to performances and sporting objectives.

The Ballon d'Or winner joined Milan as a free agent after the end of his successful adventure with Real Madrid, and has previously left his mark with Dinamo Zagreb and Tottenham.
