770 kg of cocaine seized in Italy, most of the packages with Serbian flag

A record amount of over 770 kilograms of cocaine has been seized by Italian authorities in the port of Vado Ligure.

Local media report that the narcotics were hidden among a shipment of bananas arriving from Ecuador.

What has caught the attention of investigators is the fact that some of the cocaine packages had the Serbian flag printed on them, while investigations continue to identify the criminal network behind this quantity of drugs worth around 250 million euros on the black market.
