The investigations into criminal proceedings no. 121 of 2026 began after information was forwarded by the Brazilian Embassy in Tirana, through which assistance was requested to find a Brazilian citizen, with whom the family had lost contact for about a month.

Following the investigative actions, the Fier Prosecutor's Office, in cooperation with the judicial police services, identified the person who had had recent contact with him and carried out a series of procedural actions to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

The defendant SM, after having become acquainted with the defendant in question, actively participated in her exploitation for prostitution, providing her with clients in return for payment, negotiating the prices of sexual services and profiting from this activity.

Also, from the electronic communications administered, it emerged that the defendant SM offered various people the opportunity to have sexual relations for payment with the Brazilian citizen, setting the fees and organizing the meetings.

Following the investigation, the Brazilian citizen was found in a residential area in the village of Karbunarë, Lushnje Municipality, where she was staying at the time of the Judicial Police intervention.
