The Tirana Court has found two former employees of the Police Supervision Agency, Artjol Saliasi and Gëzim Sala, guilty of the criminal offense of abuse of office, in connection with the employment procedure of Muçi Shaljani in this institution.

The two former officials were initially sentenced to 9 months in prison, but due to the summary trial, the sentence was reduced by a third, ending in 6 months in prison for each.

According to the investigation, Saliasi and Sala did not respect legal procedures during Shaljan's recruitment to the AMP. The prosecution alleged that, despite his position at the institution, he had contacts with persons involved in criminal activity.

Muçi Shaljani was killed in the serious attack at Rinas airport, where Gilmando Dani was also a victim. The mafia incident still remains without identified perpetrators, while investigations to unravel it continue.
