The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has accused the government of waging a campaign against civic protests, claiming that the state administration and supporters of the majority are engaged in attacking protesters on social media.

At the meeting of the DP parliamentary group, Berisha stated that according to him, the government is using institutions and administration employees to damage the image of the protest and influence public perception.

He made strong accusations against the Rama government, describing it as an authoritarian regime.

"The attitude of hundreds of thousands of patronage Nazis towards peaceful protesters is one of the most serious criminal acts in the history of this country. It is the most blatant evidence of the dictatorial character of this regime. It is the clearest evidence of an authoritarian dictatorship based on drugs, narcostates and the theft of Albanians."
