Citizen in protest: Albanians have been stabbed in the gut, we demand change

"The Albanians have been stabbed in the gut and this square is the square of their troubles and problems."

This is what a citizen said from the podium of the civic protest, which today has entered its 53rd day.

He stated that citizens have gathered to demand a change of government, describing the protest as a resistance resulting from dissatisfaction accumulated over the years.

"A knife has been stabbed in the heart. The solution to the problems and issues is this protest and this square here. I greet you all and I urge everyone to come here," he said from the podium.

The citizen also reacted to Minister Blendi Gonxhe's statements about violence during the protests, raising accusations about the way public funds are managed.

According to him, while millions of euros are spent, citizens face shortages in basic services, including the healthcare system.

"This is a hurricane that burns you," he declared, while also appealing for international support for political changes in the country.
