Prosecutor: Naim Murseli ordered Liridona's murder after securing 260

A court hearing was held today at the Basic Court in Pristina against the three defendants accused of the murder of Liridona Ademaj on November 29, 2023.

Prosecutor Javorka Perlinčević stated, among other things, that "Naim Murseli ordered her murder after Liridone had been provided with 260 thousand euros from life insurance in Sweden."

The prosecution added that the report they received at their request from the Swedish authorities, which confirmed that a life insurance policy worth 3 million Swedish kronor was paid in 2022 on behalf of the now deceased, has also been proposed as material evidence.

Naim Murseli's lawyer, Teuta Zhinopotoku, stated that the defense has requested that defendant Naim Murseli be sent for a mental examination, but so far has not received any official response from the court, while he has pleaded not guilty.

The other defendant, Kushtrim Kokalla, also pleaded not guilty, while Granit Plava defended himself silently.

The Prosecution's indictment states that Murseli, Plava and Kokalla had previously agreed that the murder would be committed by the accused Plava with an agreement that Murseli would pay him 30 thousand euros. The Murseli case has attracted great public attention due to the aggravating circumstances of the crime and developments in the judicial process.
