"Lobbyist in Albania, deals with cryptocurrencies", Italian media request the balance sheets of the company of Massimo D'Alema, Rama's friend

Massimo D'Alema's close relationship with Albania dates back to the Kosovo war, when the then prime minister supported NATO bombings against Serbia. Over the years, he has increasingly intensified his trips to Tirana and his relations with Edi Rama's government.

The Italian media ' Il Giornale' stopped today at D'Alema's commercial activity in Albania and insists on reflecting the balance sheets of the former Italian prime minister's company "A&I Albania". 

" There is, however, no reference to D'Alema's entrepreneurial adventure in Albania. The shares of the consulting company founded in Tirana in January 2023 "A&I Albania" are registered in the personal name of the former prime minister, therefore they are not linked to the chain of companies established in Italy", the Italian media article states. 

It is also said, among other things, that "Massimo D'Alema has a great sense of business. This is demonstrated by the profits of his consulting firm, DL&M advisor, which the former prime minister and DS secretary controls 100% and which he opened in 2019 after leaving active political life.

The company's purpose is to "consult in the context of internationalization processes" of various foreign markets "for the search and attraction of investments from private companies". A profitable business considering that the 2024 budget closed with a profit of 1,578,170 euros, up from 1,358,662 in 2023 and above all from the 393,807 euros set aside in 2022.

However, the value of production fell from 2.9 to 2.5 million with revenues of 2,497,668 (of which 1,277,668 in Italy and 1,220,000 in the United Kingdom). The same applies to liquid assets, which fell by 1.3 million to 62,747 euros compared to 2023.

The debt item from year to year increased from 668,835 to 700,359 euros, of which 660 thousand for the Treasury. DL&M also controls the wine production activities managed by the D'Alema family, which owns 15% of Silk Road Wine and 30% of the agricultural company La Madeleine where wines created with the collaboration of the king of Italian wine producers, Riccardo Cotarella , are produced. 

 Who is Massimo D'Alema? 

Massimo D'Alema is a well-known Italian politician who has held important state positions, including Prime Minister in the period 1998-2000.

Since 2023, he has been registered as a businessman in Albania. In January 2023, D'Alema registers his company "A&I Albania".

The office's object of activity is "Assistance to companies and consultancy in favor of natural and legal persons regarding the search and implementation of business opportunities, especially in the international arena, etc."

The office is headquartered in the center of Tirana, "Skenderbej Square, Palace of Culture, Second Floor", while the company's administrator is Majlinda Haloçi.
