US President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that he had a phone call with Vladimir Putin that lasted an hour and 15 minutes.
Sky News writes that Trump and Putin discussed Ukraine's attack on multiple air bases inside Russia over the weekend and revealed that Putin said he will respond to the attack.
Trump referred to the call as a "good conversation," but claimed it was not one that would lead to immediate peace.
It is the first time the US president has spoken to his Russian counterpart in just over two weeks, with their last phone call taking place on May 19.
That conversation lasted two hours and Trump described it at the time as "great."
