EPP fact-finding mission in Albania, Berisha: The electoral farce was condemned

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, is in Brussels where he has held numerous meetings, while he also delivered a speech at the Parliamentary Assembly of the European People's Party.

During an interview given to SYRI TV, the leader of the Democrat Party, Berisha, stated that the EPP will bring a fact-finding mission to Albania, because Albanian cartels pose a great danger to European countries.

The opposition leader stated that, in all meetings, the electoral farce in every aspect has been condemned.

Full interview:

Question: Mr. Berisha, what does a fact-finding mission from the European People's Parties mean?

Sali Berisha: First, this was an intense day of numerous meetings with personalities who have a direct focus and interest in developments in our region and in Albania. And we presented to them the entire ugliness of the electoral farce of May 11, the direction of this farce by the country's narco-dictator, Edi Rama, and the extent of the participation in this farce of the Albanian narco-state.
Secondly, as you may have seen and heard, our request for sending a fact-finding mission was fully understood, as Albania poses a major risk. Albanian crime, the drug cartels of Albania pose a major risk not only to the freedoms and rights of Albanians, to their vote, but also to the region and Europe as the main exporter of hard drugs coming from the East and Latin America.
Albanians should know that in this very important meeting, regarding our demands and the electoral farce in Albania, the EPP President, Manfred Veber, the Secretary Dolores Montserrat and other discussants, the Executive Secretary of the CDI, Antonio Isturiz Lopez, spoke.
In addition, we held a series of meetings with representatives of the main parties, members of the EPP and programmed with them joint interactions for the success of our effort in the uncompromising fight against the Albanian narco-state.

Question: In your remarks, you said that you have many documents that prove the electoral farce of May 11. Did you submit any documents today? What did you inform the EPP representatives about?

Sali Berisha: We submitted documents to the main representatives, and we continue to submit documents.
We have everything based on irrefutable official documents.
The electoral farce of May 11 is the most slanderous that has developed in Europe since the fall of the Iron Curtain until today.
In this farce, in some aspects, Edi Rama with 92 percent of the votes in the Fier district from the Diaspora, with 90 percent of the votes in Vlora, was approaching Assad of Russia and surpassing Putin and Lukashenko of Belarus.

Question: Can Sali Berisha say that the European People's Party is his strongest point in the international arena, given what has happened today?

Sali Berisha: The European People's Party is the strongest supporter as an international institution of the DP and it proved this with the Valencia resolution, with which 10 days before the elections were held, the electoral farce of May 11 was condemned in all aspects.
And here they also referred to the Valencia resolution.
So, the electoral farce was warned by the Valencia resolution.
Of course, this is a battle that continues and in our battle against the narco-state we will mobilize all the potential that the EPP has.
For the Albanians to know, Edi Rama has urgently started after learning of our presence here, 2 representatives of the narco-state, one of whom is...

Question: Where did you find out this information, Mr. Berisha?

Sali Berisha: I received this information, one of whom is the pastor without a Bible, who has the communist manifesto as his Bible, who has nothing in common with a pastor, such as Toni Gogu, and the other is an Etjen Xhafaj, who comes on a mission to wash away his sins, but will leave in shame as they came.

Question: One last question, after the resolution adopted by an organization that has 108 political forces, do you expect another resolution to be adopted by the EPP after May 11?

Sali Berisha: We did not present a resolution here because the resolution was approved on April 30 with all the problems that were identified in the elections.
But the statements of the president of the European People's Party, its general secretary and those present here were very bitter statements about the drug regime in Tirana and full support for the DP and the opposition people who voted under conditions of terror and in conditions of all-out violence on May 11.
