Disappearance of 130 thousand ballots, Shehu: Serious irresponsibility of the

Democratic MP Tritan Shehu has reacted sharply to the disappearance of 130,000 ballots and the Central Election Commission's stance on this event. Invited to the noon edition of Syri TV, moderated by journalist Bled Marku, Shehu described this act as a serious blow to the integrity of the May 11 election process.

According to him, ballots are not just papers, but cards with legal, political and democratic value, which must be treated with maximum responsibility by state institutions.

“The CEC proved to be totally irresponsible. It cannot be said that the ballots were 'forgotten' or 'not marked'. 130 thousand ballots are an extraordinary number, which cannot be hidden with a technical justification,” – declared Shehu. The
MP charged that the lack of these ballots has led to the distortion of the election result, producing a distorted parliament, a distorted government and a false representation of Albanian citizens.

"It is a profound destruction of the process. Those ballots were used to falsify the diaspora vote, were thrown into cauldrons or were used in manipulations like the 'Bulgarian train'. Any scenario is possible when there is no transparency," Shehu added.
He stressed that responsibility should also be criminal, while expressing disappointment with SPAK, which he said has remained passive, not opening any official investigation into this very serious issue.

Shehu announced that the opposition has submitted concrete evidence to the relevant institutions, including photos, documents and testimonies that, according to him, prove the deep compromise of the process.

"We have a completely compromised process that does not represent the will of the people. The preliminary OSCE-ODIHR report is very worrying and this disappearance of the ballots further reinforces the crisis of legitimacy," he concluded.
