Hoxha: An Albanian was caught distributing cocaine in the Russia-Ukraine war

Journalist Artan Hoxha told the case of an Albanian who was caught with drugs at the port of Odessa, while transporting cocaine to Ukraine.

Invited to Euronews Albania, Hoxha said that due to the war that soldiers are facing, the demand in that area has increased significantly.

The journalist indicated that the Albanian was found with 30 kg of cocaine.

"The increase in youth summer festivals, there is a tender for who gets access to supply it. The one in Shëngjin has 15 thousand people, in these cases when the activity ends, the police make some arrests and some Kosovars are caught there because they are the new operators in the market. Cases when over 11 thousand doses of ecstasy were caught, in Kosovo they are bought for up to 3 euros, in Tirana they are sold for up to 40 thousand lekë. They are found cheap, they are pills and very easy to traffic. In Europe, the place where the most cocaine is being sold is the Russia-Ukraine conflict. I remember that as soon as the conflict started, an Albanian was caught from Fier to Odessa, he was carrying cocaine, the soldiers are consuming it. There is a society that is in trauma, they are, how will they cope? That is why there has been an increase in demand in that area. Albanians were in the port of Odessa, 30 kg was found on the spot and he was carrying 250 kg, which was the full load", Hoxha said.
