Death of British tourist in Durres, "Daily Mail": No information on

A British tourist has died, while another is in critical condition after being found in the middle of the sea in Durres by Border Police.

The 34-year-old was confirmed dead by the coastguard, who suspect he lost control of the vehicle and fell from it.   A 31-year-old woman was seriously injured and remains in a critical condition in hospital.

The holidaymakers were performing 'maneuvers' near the Kavaja Rock area in Durres when they fell into the water yesterday morning, writes "Daily Mail" .

The pair have not yet been publicly identified, but police have released their initials - the man was SO and the woman was VB.

However, some media outlets reported at the time that the couple were discovered "during a random patrol" with the vehicle's engine turned off, English media wrote.

They added that it was possible the couple were suffering from hypothermia after being at sea for many hours, according to information from the port. Another site reported that the couple were from Ghana but lived in England.

The Foreign Ministry has been contacted for comment.
