The Alliance for a Greater Albania (PD-ASHM) has requested the launch of an urgent administrative investigation by the Central Election Commission, following a serious concern related to the discrepancy in the number of ballots.
According to the DP-ASHM, it turns out that over 130 thousand ballots are missing for voters within the territory of the Republic of Albania, a fact that raises serious doubts about the process and transparency of the election administration.
In the request to the CEC, the DP-ASHM requests the immediate and complete verification of the contents of the ballots in all boxes nationwide – specifically in 5,225 Voting Centers – relying on Article 160 and the relevant provisions of the Electoral Code.
Also, this political force asks the CEC to clarify the factual situation in detail, demanding transparency regarding the location and handling of the 130 thousand ballot papers that, according to them, are missing, as the total number of ballot papers produced does not match the sum of those used, unused and damaged.
