The constitution of the Kosovo Assembly fails for the 25th time

The Kosovo Assembly failed to be constituted again in its 25th attempt. This happened because it failed to secure the necessary votes to form the Commission that will organize the secret ballot for the election of the Speaker of Parliament.

Of the 104 deputies present in the hall, only 51 voted in favor, one vote was against and there were no abstentions.

The chairman of the session, Avni Dehari, called on the parties PDK, LDK, AAK, Nisma and the Serbian List to propose their candidates for members of the commission, but these political entities did not do so and did not participate in the vote.

The session was adjourned due to lack of quorum and will continue on June 4, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.
