Kosovo-Serbia dialogue meetings resume in Brussels

Kosovo and Serbia are expected to return to dialogue talks with the mediation of the European Union.

This is after the acting Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, traveled to Brussels, where he will have a meeting regarding the dialogue process with Serbia.

This fact was announced by EU spokesman Anouar El Anouni at a press conference on Monday.

"What I can say is that the meeting was called at the level of chief negotiators, and that the meeting with the Kosovar side is taking place with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi. The Serbian side is expected to arrive tomorrow. This is what we can say at present and we will inform you if we have any other information," he stated.

This is the first meeting of the chief negotiators from Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels since the appointment of Peter Sorensen as special envoy for dialogue, replacing Miroslav Lajcak.

We recall that since September 2023, no round of political dialogue has taken place in Brussels, but there have only been talks at the level of chief negotiators due to the crises and tensions in northern Kosovo.
