Horrifying scene in Gaza, woman bursts into tears while trying to collect flour

A video published by CNN has brought a shocking image from Khan Younis, in the Gaza Strip, where a Palestinian woman bursts into tears and screams as she tries to collect flour spilled on the ground during the transport of aid.

"You are letting us die of hunger. God has food for everyone, but you let us die of hunger," she says in desperation, as she tries to fill a bag with flour spilled on the street.

Along with him, many other residents headed to the place where the flour sacks had fallen, a scene that illustrates the deep humanitarian crisis in which Gaza is located, as a result of the military blockade imposed by Israel.

The UN and humanitarian agencies have warned of the risk of mass starvation unless the free and safe passage of aid is guaranteed. Although Israel has said it has partially eased the blockade, the aid that has arrived is insufficient to meet the urgent needs of the population.

The situation has further escalated after a recent tank attack on an aid center in Gaza, where at least 32 people were killed and around 150 others were injured, according to the Red Cross Hospital in Rafah. The Gaza Health Ministry has accused the Israeli army of carrying out the attack, while witnesses have also reported shooting by local security personnel. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), on the other hand, have denied involvement and called the allegations “false reports.”

Meanwhile, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), a new non-profit organization, has begun distributing aid, providing thousands of meals to residents. However, every attempt to help is accompanied by chaos, clashes and, often, casualties.

The images coming from Gaza are clear evidence of the catastrophic consequences of the blockade on civilians, while the international community continues to call for urgent aid and long-term solutions for the population immersed in misery.
