A technical engineer from a construction firm that was carrying out works in the Palasa area has been arrested.
According to the police, IN, 45 years old, a resident of Tirana, allowed the discharge of waters of unknown composition into the sea from the construction works area, causing pollution of the Dhrale Bay and disrupting the ecological balance in this coastal area.
" The specialists of the Crime Investigation Section at the Himara Police Station arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen IN, 45 years old, resident of Tirana, with the duty of technical engineer of a construction company that was carrying out works in the Palasa area.
"From the first investigative actions, it results that this citizen, on 05.04.2025, allowed the discharge into the sea of waters of unknown composition, from the construction works area, causing pollution of the Dhrale Bay and disruption of the ecological balance in this coastal area ," the police announced.
The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further procedural actions.
