Berisha pledges to EPP: Zero tolerance towards crime

Democratic Leader Sali Berisha has pledged to the EPP for zero tolerance towards crime.

Speaking in Strasbourg, at the EPP meeting, the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said that this is the only way and path for Albania to escape crime.

"Zero tolerance for crime. This is the only way to save my country."

Ladies and gentlemen, the euro in Albania is a narco-euro. The euro has depreciated by 35 percent compared to our lek. Exports are dying year after year. They fell by 32 percent. Thousands of Albanians lost their jobs.

1 million and 99 thousand Albanians fled to the Schengen area due to poverty and job loss.

Zero tolerance for these crime bosses. Wherever they are, we will find them, catch them, and bring them to justice.

We have also called for a Truth Commission, with our partners.

Because what do these 1 million pages show? They show terrible connections between crime and politics. We have ministers telling murderers that I will do this, you must do this for votes. You will have this, I will do that. Open bargaining.

These transcripts should see the light of day.

"It should be very helpful for European countries as well, otherwise Albania will be a major exporter of crime throughout Europe and the world ," Berisha declared.
