Effect of May 14/ The time for issuing ID cards to citizens is shortened, from 14 days to 3 days

The company IdentiTek has shortened the time it takes to issue citizens with an ID card. From the 14 days it used to take to obtain an ID card, citizens can now receive it in 3 days.

This service can be obtained through a payment of 3 thousand lek.

The service is designed to facilitate and expedite the application process, helping citizens who urgently need their identification document.

This relief from the company comes a few weeks before the parliamentary elections on May 14.

Continuing its commitment to innovation and facilitating access to services, IdentiTek, under the Ministry of Interior, aims to be as close as possible to citizens, offering products and services that improve their lives.

The application is carried out at any IdentiTek office throughout Albania. The procedure is simple:

• Buy the coupon (with expedited procedure);

• Take with you the old document or the self-declaration of loss/theft from e-Albania;

• Apply at one of IdentiTek's offices;

• Pick up the new card at the same place where you applied.

This service is accessible to all Albanian citizens, including:

• Those who are provided with an electronic ID card for the first time;

• Those who renew an expired document;

• Those who require replacement due to expiration, damage or loss.
