Macron calls on Israel to stop bombing Gaza and return to ceasefire

French President Emmanuel Macron has made a strong appeal to Israel, urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop the bombing of Gaza and return to an immediate ceasefire.

This request came as Israel continues its attacks on the Palestinian enclave, causing insecurity and humanitarian catastrophe in the region.

In a post published on the X platform, Macron explained: "I called on the Israeli prime minister to stop the attacks on Gaza and return to a ceasefire, which Hamas must accept. I also stressed that the distribution of humanitarian aid must resume immediately to alleviate the situation of innocent citizens."

In addition, the French president called on Israel to "strictly" respect the ceasefire in Lebanon, following the recent bombings by Israeli forces that affected the southern suburbs of Beirut.

This action has raised concerns about a possible escalation of tensions in the region, further jeopardizing security and stability.
