The RTSH Steering Council restarts the race for the General Director

The new Board of Directors of the Albanian Public Television (RTSH) has decided to restart the competition for the position of Director General of RTSH. This decision comes after the cancellation of the procedure that was opened on January 6 due to violations found by the Parliament, which declared it invalid.

At a meeting held on Tuesday, the newly elected members of the council unanimously decided to cancel the previous procedure, which was suspended on January 30 at the request of the parliamentary Media Committee. As a result, the decision is to reopen applications for the position of director general and start the competition anew, to ensure a clean and transparent process.

Applications will be accepted from April 2 to April 15. All those wishing to apply for this position must submit the required documents according to legal procedures, which can be found on the official website of RTSH. After the application period, the Steering Council will review the applications in a second meeting and will continue with the selection process.

Another important decision at the meeting was the approval of the draft budget of RTSH for the coming year, a key step in ensuring the sustainable functioning of Albanian Public Television.

This process aims to bring a new direction and ensure more efficient and transparent administration at RTSH.
