Trial continues for 'Cobra City' murder, witness gives version of

The trial of the defendants in the "Cobra City" bar in Prizren in 2023 continued today, 02.04.2025, at the Court of Pristina. In this session, the next witness, Kujtim Gashi, gave his version of the event. The defendants in this case are: Dibran Hoxha, known as "Kobra", Roland Susuri, Arben Vezaj, Burim Mazreku and Jesmir Badallaj, who appeared today at the Court of Pristina, on 02.04.2025.

Dibran Hoxha is charged with the aggravated murder of victim VC. The other four defendants are accused of "participation in the beating", "manipulation of evidence" and "unlicensed possession of weapons". Witness Kujtim Gashi has given his version of the critical night.

On the critical night, he said that he had been at the “Cobra City” bar and that he had been in the parking lot the whole time, and that Arben Vezaj, Jesmir Badallaj, Burim Mazreku and Roland Susuri had been at work. “I was there that night maintaining the generator because there was no electricity at one stage and I had to go get fuel every 40 minutes or 1 hour and Dibrani was not at the bar that night. Before the incident happened to me, I did not see Dibrani that night,” said Kujtim Gashi.

During his testimony, Gashi said that there were 3 people from Albania in the bar and at the moment when the incident happened he said he had been in the parking lot and then after the incident had happened he had heard that it had come because of the payment. "There were arguments inside but I didn't see who and what they were arguing about," said Gashi.

Further during the testimony, he said that after the Albanian people outside had argued, they had leaned against their car and smoked cigarettes. "At the time that there were 3 people from Albania outside, what was their condition?", was one of the questions of prosecutor Merita Bina-Rugova addressed to this witness. "Drunk. Aggressive. While they were inside, they made noise, but when they came out, they lit a cigarette and we leaned against them outside," said Gashi.

Witness Gashi said that he had seen Dibran after the incident had occurred, along with the police. “Dibran was calm,” said Gashi. Gashi also said that that evening he had heard noises but not gunshots and that during the time he had worked at Dibran Hoxha’s bar, he had never seen him with a gun.

"As long as I have worked at Dibrani, I have never seen him, he does not hold a gun", said Gashi. This criminal case is being handled in the Special Department of the Court of Pristina, composed of the panel of judges Kujtim Krasniqi (chairman of the panel) and Ngadhnjim Arrni and Vesel Ismaili as members. While the indictment is being represented by the special prosecutor Merita Bina-Rugova.

Dibran Hoxha is accused of the aggravated murder of the victim VC, on 03.01.2023, near his "Cobra City" bar in Prizren. According to the Indictment, the murder occurred for the base motives of demonstrating unscrupulous force against all those who oppose him.

The file says that the murder was caused by a high bill at the bar, which resulted in a fight between the bar's employees and the victim and injured parties, Rutgen Tsyatkova and Arben Basha. The latter - according to the file - got into the car to leave, but at that time Dibran Hoxha - Kobra, who had been informed about the incident, arrived.

Thus, the File states that the car with the victim was driving away at that moment. Dibran Hoxha opened the driver's door, where he shot the injured Rutgen Tsyatkova with a pistol. Then, the File states that the accused Hoxhaj shot four more times, hitting the victim VC, who was sitting in the back of the car and who died on the way to the hospital.

For this, the Prosecution charges him with the criminal offenses: "aggravated murder" and "unlicensed possession of weapons". Roland Susuri and Burim Mazreku are accused of "manipulation of evidence". Also, Roland Susuri, Jetmir Badallaj and Arben Vezaj are accused of "participation in a fight". Meanwhile, Roland Susuri and Jetmir Badallaj are also accused of "unlicensed possession of weapons"./Kallxo.com/
