A police officer dies in Pristina, investigations begin

A tragic event occurred today in the capital of Kosovo, where a 47-year-old police officer lost his life under still unclear circumstances.

According to the Kosovo Police, the victim's body was found at around 14:45 on "Ahmet Korenica" street in Pristina. Immediately after receiving the information, police units and the emergency medical team arrived at the scene and confirmed his death.

The Police Spokesperson announced that, although the investigation is in its initial stages, there are indications that may suggest suicide. However, the authorities have launched a full investigation in cooperation with the State Prosecutor's Office, to clarify the exact circumstances and causes of death.

The Kosovo Police has expressed its deepest condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of the deceased, while calling for respect for privacy in these difficult moments.

Investigations are ongoing and it is expected that more information about this incident will be available in the coming days.
