Who hacked the SPAK Prosecutors' emails? Karamuço: Politicians were

Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço spoke about the cyberattack on SPAK prosecutors' emails that occurred on March 12.

Invited to Euronews Albania, he said that attempts were made to hack all the computers of SPAK prosecutors, but only three were successful, as Altin Dumani's computer and others had a higher level of protection.

" The attempt was made for all computers for all SPAK prosecutors, but they only succeeded with three computers. Meanwhile, the other computers had a higher level of protection, the prosecutors were more careful, changed their passwords and had IT support personnel monitored."

The internal technology system that they have, which includes laboratories and other forensic data, are all in an independent and highly protected system, and this has been the great success that these have not been taken away.

"Politicians are involved directly or indirectly. Meanwhile, the motive is not yet known, it could be for blackmail, for shifting attention, there are many reasons that SPAK should investigate ," said Karamuço.

Two people have been arrested for this incident, Arnold Rrokaj, suspected of carrying out the intervention, and Zambak Gjoni, suspected of distributing stolen information, but according to Karamuço, these are not the only people involved in the crime.
