Meta: Albanian art in mourning for the loss of Margarita Xhepa

The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has expressed condolences on the passing of the great actress Margarita Xhepa.

In a Facebook post, he described her as a unique star of the Albanian stage and cinematography.

He expressed his condolences to the Xhepa family and the entire artistic community. "Her memory is unforgettable! May she rest in well-deserved peace," Meta concluded.

It was with deep sorrow that I received the sad news of the passing of the inimitable star of the Albanian stage and cinematography, Margarita Xhepa.

An extraordinary artist, who skillfully left us many great unique artistic values, from the great Shakespeare to the prominent Albanian dramaturgy, sculpting characters and building them so beautifully, with which our scenic art and cinematography have been worthily represented internationally.

Always loved and respected, Margarita Xhepa will always be remembered with gratitude for her valuable contribution to our culture and national identity, who, even as an honorable lady and mother, managed to provide eternally inspiring, humane and social messages, beyond false ideological facades, putting art at the service of major social and national causes.

Albanian art is today in mourning for this great and irreplaceable loss.

My deepest condolences to the loving and large Xhepa family, who have given so much to Albanian art, as well as to the entire community of artists.

May her memory be unforgettable! May she rest in the peace she deserves!
