Drug trafficking gang busted in Italy, 25 people arrested, including Albanians

An anti-drug operation has been carried out by authorities in Italy, in which 25 people have been arrested, suspected of being members of a criminal drug trafficking gang.

According to Italian media reports , during the operation, a laboratory used for the production and trafficking of cocaine was discovered, monitored by 25 people of different nationalities. 

The members of the criminal organization are 12 Colombians, 9 Spaniards, 2 Albanians, one Mexican and one Italian.

It is reported that during the operation, more than 38 kilograms of cocaine, cocaine production machinery, 87 grams of hashish and 94 grams of marijuana were seized.

Firearms were also seized, along with 30 magazines and up to 1,000 rounds of ammunition, a silencer, a stun gun, more than 32,000 euros in cash, almost 39,000 euros in counterfeit money, 5 luxury cars, as well as 28 phones and various documents.

The narcotics, along with the weapons, were seized as material evidence, while 25 people were arrested for further procedural actions.
