Accused of murder due to blood feud, 48-year-old arrested in England

An Albanian wanted for murder due to blood feud is arrested in the United Kingdom.

The State Police announces that LL, 48 years old, was arrested with the aim of extradition to Albania, as he is suspected of having played the role of organizer and financier in the murder of AB in the village of Gjocaj, Peqin, in 2021. 

"As a result of the exchange of information between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Manchester, Albanian citizen LL, 48 years old, has been arrested, declared internationally wanted, with the aim of extradition to Albania.

This citizen was declared wanted pursuant to the 2023 decision of the Elbasan Court of First Instance (file passed to SPAK), which has imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on him, for the following criminal offenses:

"Murder due to blood feud",

"Providing the means and conditions for committing murder",

"Structured criminal group", in the special form of cooperation,

"Unauthorized possession of weapons and ammunition."

Citizen LL is suspected of having played the role of organizer and financier of this murder, as well as having provided the means and conditions for its commission. Also, after the event, he assisted in the transportation and removal of the perpetrators from the scene.

His arrest was made possible thanks to the close cooperation between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Manchester, within the framework of the international operation "The Wanted", which focuses on locating and arresting persons wanted for serious criminal offenses , the police announced. 

Further procedural actions for the extradition of this citizen to our country are in progress, in cooperation with the British authorities.
