The Vice President of the Democratic Party, Luciano Boçi, commented this Thursday on the latest political developments in the country.

Invited to Syri TV, Boçi criticized the slow pace of the European Union's reaction, describing the EU as a "bureaucratic machine" that moves too slowly in the face of Albanian reality.

Boçi emphasized that the Albanian opposition has played a key role in changing the EU's perception of our country, through conveying the truth and presenting real issues.

He also brought to attention the May 11 elections as a key moment that has prompted clear reactions from EU missions in the country.

Luciano Boçi: The EU is a bureaucratic machine that moves very slowly in what we have perceived over the years and the way they have begun to react and the perspective they have begun to see Albania clearly shows that the opposition has influenced that part of the transmission of its truths. In fact, all the deputies participating in the Committee meeting should be thanked for the direct way of political transmissions, but not only political ones, of the Albanian reality, which do not take away any doubt from the opposition's desire for Albania to advance in its reforms and become an integral part of the EU.

Telling the truth heals and does not hinder and this must be clarified for public opinion. This result is not only part of what has been transmitted by the opposition but also part of the reaction that comes not only from MPs, political representatives but also from the highest instances. Let's not forget that we have a precedent of resolutions, 4 resolutions of right-wing parties that have their representatives in the European Parliament, which have had a direct impact, in terms of the way they react.

It is not simply related to the opening of chapters, to that good will to continue with the important steps to integrate Albania, but it is also related to the way many political representatives have begun to see Albania. Those parts that have been covered up, that have been kept on purpose and for diplomatic reasons, have now come to the surface and what exploded in that full glass, let us not forget the elections of May 11, because these elections and the way they were managed, have not simply come from the Albanian opposition, not simply from isolated voices, but have come from the missions that the EU has installed in Albania.
