Ergys Agas's name became known in the media after former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj's interview with Italian television, Rai3.

He made strong accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama and the connections he claims the latter has with organized crime.

According to him, these connections are coordinated by Ergys Agasi. The latter, according to him, is based in Durrës, close to the mafia clan in that city.

Today it was learned that Ergys Agas' businesses were inspected by officers of the BKH and the SPAK special prosecution office.

During the search of Agas' villa in Durrës, documents, telephones, laptops and other items that the BKH assessed could be useful for the investigation were seized. SPAK has preferred not to make any comments on this matter, keeping any information related to this file confidential.

But, what are the businesses that are officially under his name today?

According to Open Corporates, there are companies directly owned by Ergys Agasi. In some of them he is a 100% owner, in others partially.

These are companies operating in the fields of construction, football, trade, etc.

Agasi has never been convicted or investigated for ties to the Albanian mafia, but the media has often talked about his ties to members of criminal groups such as drug trafficker Xhevdet Troplini.
