Analyst: Rama cannot speak out against Iran because relations with Erdogan are

Journalist Genc Burimi believes that Prime Minister Edi Rama is at a difficult moment in foreign policy.

According to him, he can neither side with Israel nor with Iran.

Speaking on Syri TV, he said that if Rama makes statements against Israel, it affects the interests of US President Donald Trump, and vice versa, it ruins relations with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"Begaj's statements seem to me like Enver Hoxha's congress at the party congress of the Soviet Union, when Enver Hoxha told Khrushchev why he didn't give the atomic bomb to his Chinese comrades and everyone was surprised that Albania, a country with 2 million inhabitants, was interfering in a strategic debate that was part of the Soviet Union and China at the time. This is ridiculous, but who listened to what Begaj said, who knows Begaj?

Even if Begaj has said what role Begaj has in Albania today, what he serves for. At least he gets that salary, he says something. If Rama spoke it would be a little more audible, but Begaj is completely anonymous, both inside and outside Albania. Rama has kept his mouth shut because it is difficult, you cannot maneuver between many currents, when we have Erdogan who is the enemy of Israel. When we know that Israel is an enemy of several Arab countries, including Turkey.

"It's difficult, plus Rama is intervening once again and will give Trump the benefit of the doubt because he's afraid. Rama is showing himself to be very smart and for the first time, and he says that silence is worth it and that's why he's keeping quiet ," said Burimi.
