At the Stabilization and Association Committee in Strasbourg, Democratic Party MP Jorida Tabaku stated that in Albania, in 12 years, the parliament has not managed to carry out a complete Electoral Reform.

On the other hand, Tabaku said that we need to talk about the problems brought about by the elections in Albania.

"There were violations of the Copenhagen criteria, use of public funds for election campaigns, and influence of criminal groups in the electoral process."

These were the first elections since the opening of negotiations with the European Union, and unfortunately, they were a missed opportunity for Albania.

The Copenhagen criteria and the European Convention on Human Rights were violated.

I'm sorry to say, but in the last 12 years, the Assembly has not been able to undertake a profound reform to address these issues.

Secondly, we also discussed during the visit to the European Parliament that Albania has values ​​and assets that no other country in the region has.

The opposition has supported the process of Albania's integration into the European Union, not only with words, but with concrete actions.
