The Special Anti-Corruption Appeal has upheld this Wednesday the sentence for the former mayor of Lushnja, Fatos Tushe, who is accused of concealing assets.

Tushe was sentenced to 1 year in prison, a measure that was suspended for two years of probation. The Appeal also upheld the decision to confiscate the apartment in Vlora, an asset that Tushe had not declared.

The former mayor of Lushnja was arrested in 2021 by order of SPAK on charges of corruption and sentenced to 2 years and 4 months in prison. He completed his sentence and was released from prison in January 2023.
