"EC certified the destruction of the Justice Reform"/ Blushi: Risk for
Teddy Blushi

The Secretary General of the Freedom Party, Tedi Blushi, has stated that the European Commission has certified the destruction of the Justice Reform in Albania, linking this failure to the unprecedented capture and pressure on the system.

He warned that this situation could lead to the blocking of negotiations for Albania's EU membership.

Blushi adds, among other things, that the citizens of Albania are seeing every day that the "new justice" according to him is nothing more than a crutch for the Narcoregime, an ugly political shield not only for corruption, but also for electoral crime.

Blushi's full statement:

The European Commission certifies the destruction of the Justice Reform as a result of unprecedented pressure and capture, warning of stagnation of the negotiation process and non-opening of integration chapters without meeting the standards.

A recently released European Commission "non-paper" along with this institution's report on the rule of law clearly shows that the pronounced failure in the fight against serious and organized crime, against corruption, and especially the capture of the justice system, turn the government's alleged effort to accelerate European integration into a farce.

The Justice Reform, unanimously voted with 140 votes in the Assembly as a historic moment for the separation of justice from politics and for ending impunity, has now clearly transformed in Ramaforma with 69 votes of the oaths of constitutional judges at the notary in Lana, into a dirty political instrument for amnesty for corruption and electoral crime, which aims only to consolidate the Narcostate.

The European Commission's latest report on the rule of law openly denounces this dramatic degradation, clearly highlighting the criminal attempt to usurp and ultimately destroy the independence of the Constitutional Court.

The European Commission's conclusions highlight the fact that "There are shortcomings regarding the work, lack of transparency, inclusiveness, methodology and real impact of the ad hoc commission..." a clear reference to the so-called Xhafaj Commission, which is being used as a political tool to rewrite reforms with an occult and clientelistic background.

The report also highlights the "non-implementation of the decisions of the Constitutional Court and the legal uncertainty over the duration of the mandates of its members", which is a direct accusation by the European Commission against the institutional coup orchestrated by Sokol Sadushi, as in the flagrant case of the hijacking of the mandate of two constitutional judges.

This brutal and extralegal intervention to transform the Constitutional Court into a bargaining chip for political corporations is a profound undermining of civic trust in justice.

The attempt to nullify any minority opinion even in the Constitutional Court, by removing independent judges, is a very serious violation of the Constitution, which confirms Edi Rama's horror of the truth, argument, logic, objectivity and integrity of independent judges who expose the "Rilindja" confidants.

The citizens of Albania are seeing every day that the "new justice" is nothing more than a crutch of the Narcoregime, an ugly political shield not only for corruption, but also for electoral crime, which began with the terrorist kidnapping of the President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, and was sealed with the electoral terror of May 11.

Now, even with the seal of the European Commission, "Ramaforma" is being branded in the judiciary as a political machine under the control of the Drug State and its political tools: Fatmir Xhafaj and Sokol Sadushi.

The European Commission's conclusions and direct accusations against the Xhafaj Commission, as an instrument of an unconstitutional institutional coup, are another solid and independent argument why this commission should be dissolved immediately.

By what right will Rama's Special Commission conduct assessments and analyses on justice?

Why was the Justice Reform carried out, which affected more than 1/3 of the Constitution?

Is there an independent system of evaluation and control of justice?

Was justice reform carried out to remove the hands of politics from Justice?

By what Constitutional right will a 100% political and biased Special Commission with only Rilinda MPs carry out an in-depth reform process on Justice?

It is imperative to urgently launch an investigation into criminal political interference in the mandate of the constitutional judge and the entire process of deformation of the system.

The battle to free justice from capture and corporatism is vital to the survival of the rule of law.

If this situation is not stopped, Albania risks remaining a Narcostate, where justice is a function of power and citizens have no legal protection.

The reform must not remain a facade – but return to its constitutional and consensual spirit of 140 votes: independent and equal justice for all.
