Trump explains why he left the G7 meeting: It has nothing to do with the ceasefire, it's something bigger

US President Donald Trump has denied that he left the G7 leaders' summit in Canada early to work on a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
In a post on social media, Trump referred to the statement of French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, who said that the US president had left the meeting to focus on the Israel-Iran agreement.
“Publicity seeker. President Emmanuel Macron of France incorrectly said that I left the G7 Summit, in Canada, to return to DC to work for a “ceasefire” between Israel and Iran. Wrong!
He has no idea why I am now going to Washington, but it certainly has nothing to do with a Ceasefire. Much bigger than that. Whether intentionally or not, Emmanuel is always wrong. Stay tuned!” Trump wrote on “Social Truth.”
