Requesting release from prison, GJKKO schedules hearing for former president

The Special Court has set June 20th as the date for reviewing the defense request of former president Ilir Meta. 

Meta has requested an assessment of the conditions for imposing the security measure and the request for replacing the "arrest with prison" measure, imposed by the Special Court in October last year, and Judge Erjon Çela has set 11:30 for the hearing.

Former president Ilir Meta has been in custody since October 21 of last year. He is accused by SPAK of corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets in connection with the CEZ-DIA issues, the former LSI's lobbying in the US and his family's expenses.
